You read my mind about brush touch. I am thinking how one would rethink photography meant to be reproduced as a painting. I learned, as a a beginner at both (at painting, a pre-beginner:), that you can't easily substitute nature with intuition (unless you observed a lot and painted a lot) and a conventional photo may be suboptimal.

I agree with you, Mario. Observing needs also practice to find and recognize the key elements to emphasize in the final work. It is constant and careful study; also in a way amazing how you can find new things to present in his/her work. At least I see it so:-)
