BBCode and Emoticons

I think that a couple of cool new features would be BBCode and Emoticons. So you can spice up posts a bit, or something. :P That's my opinion, anyways...

I am still not sure about emoticons. What I was thinking is, wouldn't it be acceptable to use text-based smileys, say :-) ;-) :-( ?
