What is Glorum
Glorum is an online environment where *every topic* can be discussed.
You could visualize this as a mess of unrelated messages. Not. Every topic has its own dedicated space within glorum.
No matter how specialized your topic is, there is right now a dedicated space within glorum that is exclusively about that niche.
Ex:
http://www.glorum.com/tag/tokyo (or any other place)
http://www.glorum.com/tag/java (or any other programming language)
http://www.glorum.com/tag/chess (or any other hobby)
To post a message inside any of these spaces, you just need to write your message as you normally would in a forum and then "tag" it with one or more words (ie. tagging it as "chess openings" would place it into the "chess", "openings" and "chess+openings" spaces).
If you click on one of the examples above, you will see that there are (currently) no messages for those tags.
That demonstrates the potential of tags in online discussions: *all* possible topics are *already* there. There isn't the need of someone setting up and promoting a new forum.
Being tags simply words, this is also extended to any future topic (ie. a new movie).
The (ambitious) goal is having a place online where you can find messages about any place, any product, any job, any problem, any event, anything.
As of this post, glorum has not yet been completely developed. The glorum prototype is online since 30 days and it has not been exposed to any significant traffic yet.
The current community is still very small. The main topics so far seem to be PHP (http://www.glorum.com/tag/php ) and glorum itself ((http://www.glorum.com/tag/glorum ).
